RIT was a great college because it preparedMechanical Engineering
RIT was a great college because it prepared me for the "real world". Several of my friends struggled to get jobs upon graduation due to the lack of resources available at their schools for career development and job hunting. Also, the size of the career fair at RIT (>200 companies) made it a no-brainer. There are skeptics that say that they don't prepare you enough, but I personally think that's silly; A lot of students choose not to prepare themselves, hence the ones who do succeed and do well.I also took part in extracurriculars, which I think was necessary here. Without playing sports/joining clubs, it's still relatively easy to have a fun social life, but there are a lot of introverts here who choose not to make the most of college, and that's their choice. I would definitely recommend this college to any student looking to get their engineering, photo, or graphic design degree. With a large school and D3 sports (except Hockey), I found a great opportunity to be a student-athlete, have an awesome social life, and get a strong undergraduate & graduate education.

RIT has been aNot so brightUndecided
RIT has been a good experience so far. The academics aren't that hard as long as you put in some effort, and most of faculty are easy to get along with and are more than willing to help. The student body is also very diverse, and there are always lots of events happening on campus.
