Personally I really enjoy RIT, especially after takingBrightElectrical Engineering
Personally I really enjoy RIT, especially after taking some summer classes at a state university. it was then that i realized how much more rit offers its students in the academic and future career department. But yes there are problems with the social life, but it is all dependent on the person. Regardless of what people say there are parties every weekend or whenever you want to go it is just the person has to go out and find them, and rit is rather diverse you can find any kind of activity you want to do there is more to do on a Saturday night than merely drinking. The main problem with the school that i knew about coming in to was that there is no football team, and personally i feel that athletics and school spirit is important to a college atmosphere, but with the recent success of the hockey and lacrosse them im sure a better stadium is hopefully coming.

RIT may not be perfect, but if you'reBrightComputer Science
RIT may not be perfect, but if you're majoring in computer science, it is THE school to go to. I have learned a huge amount during my first year at RIT, and I will definitely return next year. All the students are very friendly and intelligent, and the professors are very helpful, and are always more than willing to answer questions. I highly recommend going here.

Question
It can be a lot of work, andBrightElectrical Engineering
It can be a lot of work, and a lot of people are negative about the "geek level" and the lack of things to do. But if your objective is to find a quality university that is academically focused, the faculity here cannot be beat. The social life is what you make of it - I managed to go out enough to have those "fun" college experiences, but it isn't a big state school, so sorry, there isn't a kegger every weekend.
