Not hard to get into but if you chooseJul 14 2017Neuroscience/Cognitive Science
Not hard to get into but if you choose a science major, there are ALOT of weed-out courses where averages lie in the 60-65% such as general chemistry which in my opinion is the hardest course of the science major general requirements. A lot of students start out in a science major. At the beginning of the year, there were 200 people in Gen-Chem, by the second semester there were probably 120 kids, and the average was around a 72%.

I entered through a program with the United StatesApr 26 2017Athletics/Training
I entered through a program with the United States Marine Corps that garunteed entry into the university based on high military testing scores comparable to other placement tests on the market. I had a 4.0 from other universities where I took classes while in my off time. My SAT and ACT scores were above the reported minimums for UVM but were not used for entry.

I did the bare minimumApr 07 2017Unknown
I did the bare minimum. Was a B- student in high school and I really only think I got in because I did well in a summer college class.

In high school, I received A's and B's, butMay 01 2015Nursing
In high school, I received A's and B's, but my GPA averaged to a 3.45. I did 2 seasons of sports each year and worked. I received academic and athletic scholarships from UVM. If you did not receive scholarships, I would advise going to a less expensive school. I know many people who have to transfer because of the expense.
If you want to get into this school then all you have to do is try your best. Work hard and show that you will be an advantage to have at the school.
SAT: 1910 Female
You don't have to be very intelligent to get inOct 02 2012Undecided
You don't have to be very intelligent to get in. Trust me. A lot of the students act like it's middle school and yell in the middle of class. A majority of the students aren't well rounded and excel in one subject area and have no grasp of another.
SAT: 1810 Male
