The criteria was constantly going up when I wasApr 17 2013History/Histories (art history/etc.)
The criteria was constantly going up when I was there so this may be of limited use. When I went in I was a member of both the National Honor Society and the Tri-M music honor society with a lot of hours clocked in volunteer work with the school's art department. My SAT score wasn't great at 1270, but my GPA was sitting at 4.98 and came in with a great deal of college credits. I never failed an AP exam, never had any discipline issues, and am a fairly good writer for that entrance essay (at least I'm told so).

FOR FILM BFA PROSPECTIVES:
Apply obviously, make your 2 essays genuine- the ppl reading your essays are professional filmmakers and can see through your bull, if you're a strong writer submit a few of your best pieces, if not this is not the time to start writing so use your potential talent and make a VERY short film to wow them.
No matter what don't overwhelm them with drawn out "inspirational" essays and cliche writing. This program is VERY selective, only 30 chosen out of hundreds of applicants so don't eff it up by not submitting your best work or thinking it will be cake to get in. And once again WRITE ESSAYS THAT SPEAK GENUINELY ABOUT YOU.

Feel free to contact me for more insights/advice on the film program at UCF

I had a 27 ACT and 1170 SAT (i also took the sat again they just didn't get my scores)

If you are in-state you'll find that EVERYBODY applies here, so its best to apply early as possible.

I obviously cannot tell you what they take into consideration, but my weighted gpa (according to their weighting) is 3.4. i have a feeling my act score got me in (i applied for summer) and I was borderline so they might have checked my essay and such.
ACT: 27 Female

I applied really early to UCF, and I wasFeb 17 2010Undecided
I applied really early to UCF, and I was accepted almost immediately. They also gave me a scholarship. I did have really good grades and I made sure to write a good essay. But honestly the application was easy for me and I got in right away. So the best advice I can give is apply early! I've heard that can really make all the difference.
