The criteria was constantly going up when I wasApr 17 2013History/Histories (art history/etc.)
The criteria was constantly going up when I was there so this may be of limited use. When I went in I was a member of both the National Honor Society and the Tri-M music honor society with a lot of hours clocked in volunteer work with the school's art department. My SAT score wasn't great at 1270, but my GPA was sitting at 4.98 and came in with a great deal of college credits. I never failed an AP exam, never had any discipline issues, and am a fairly good writer for that entrance essay (at least I'm told so).

I had a 3Feb 20 2012Business - Management and Administration
I had a 3.2 gpa in AP classes, 1180 SAT, some extracurriculars, and I applied. I was accepted less than 2 weeks later. My roommate's intelligence is about on par with the cast of Jersey Shore and was accepted. We were accepted a long time ago and I have heard it is more difficult to get in now.
SAT: 1180 Female
It's not as hard as one may think to get into UCFSep 24 2010Biology
It's not as hard as one may think to get into UCF. Yes, they are competitive, but all universities are. Overall, if you show that you've done at least a couple extracurriculars or getting involved in your community through volunteering, then you are a shoe in. You have to show that you can commit to doing something. Grades are important, but as long as you're well rounded, like I said, you'll get in.

I had a GMar 05 2010Computer Engineering
I had a G.E.D. with a 2.3 average from a Florida Community College. Automatic Acceptance!! Same Today!! I see all these H.S. students killing themselves with 3.8 average and one D and their rejected!!! Go to Community College no one will know the difference, save a bundle. When you go out for a job know one gives a crap anyway. Now if you have a degree from Rollins,Stetson,or Harvard they will take notice. That will bump you to the front of line and maybe even kiss your butt until they figure out you don't know anything. A degree from UCF is just like the football team.....Boring, Mediocre like the University of Phoenix or some Vo Tech. UCF is just a huge version of it's former self FTU(Florida Technological University...same thing different name.(but now they have a medical school)Go to UF,FSU,UM,, at least you will have some bragging rights in twenty years when the National Championships are on.
SAT: 540 Male

Join and -- this is important now -- participate in as many extracurricular activities you find interesting, particularly community service organizations, honors societies, and "special interest" groups (like school newspaper). Take on leadership roles within the organizations, and lead with conviction and passion. Do community service with a smile. And, most of all, do what you love. It will shine through on applications!
