you had to submit your hs gpa, current gpa/course load and classes at your current college, write an essay and submit sat scores (unless you were a transfer student, not in your freshman year).

I applied to one other school in NYC where I got in but couldn't afford the private school tuition. I decided to apply to Towson, and not Maryland because I grew up in Annapolis and Baltimore and wanted to be near the city at a cheap price. To be honest, I didn't write an essay and the only recommendation letter was a generic one from a summer program I went to. In fact, because I moved out of state for my senior year, it cost just as much money as the private school.

Assuming you want to go, just make sure you have a HS GPA above 2.6 and mediocre SAT scores. I'm sure its a good fit for someone out there.

I took the SAT and filled out an application. There was an additional essay for the Honors College which was easy and generic. If you were in the top half of your graduating class, you will probably get in. Even if you weren't, as long as you're a Maryland resident you still have a good shot.
