Drew is not a hard school to get into. Drew gives you an option to write an essay or submit SAT/ ACT scores. I wrote the essay and was accepted within two weeks of submitting my application. The application process can be tricky because half is submitted online and the other in the mail. Any college looks for a well-rounded student, not the student with the highest high school GPA. BE YOURSELF!!!

To get in try to get good grades and be a well-rounded person. Its not because you have to join clubs or anything, but it just lines you up with the school's structure. Seeing things and doing stuff outside of your normal day to day can only help. Good luck.

If you are a good student, Drew is not that hard to get into. The school is SAT optional, and for the most part, does not admit students based on athletics or legacy. Drew is mostly interested in your high school grades, difficulty of your high school courses, and your desire to be at a small liberal arts college.

The bigger issue for most students is affording Drew. The school is very expensive ($52,500 per year). Full academic scholarships no longer exist, but there are scholarships for academics, the arts, civic participation, and for minorities. Something like 97% of students receive some type of financial aid or scholarship, but be warned that the net cost (after receiving aid) for a typical student from a middle class family will $30,000 to $40,000 per year.

My SATS were good, (though as I mentioned, they no longer require them.) My GPA from my prior institution was high as well. I also did an entrance interview because at the time I really wanted to go here. All of these things combined really help. If you really want to go here, just demonstrate your interest.

In all honesty, the University needs money and needs more people so they accept a lot of people that shoudnt get in. But then there are those that may not have the highest GPA and may not have been the top of thier class, but are insanley smart. The aplication process is your chance to impress people with your abilities and experience. As long as you appear unique and desirable you should be able to get in. Get solid grades and Get good scores on the SAT or ACT.
