I just don't understand people that like RIT.Quite BrightSchool of Information
I just don't understand people that like RIT. I don't know what they like about? Brick city? ugly girls? boring city? Weather? ignorant faculty members? Terrible on-campus apartments? mouse hole dorms? DAMN QUARTER SYSTEM?

I mean come on? i think i made a huge mistake to transfer to RIT. I have read articles on this website before i transferred here and i was thinking that it should not be too bad. Are you freaking kidding me ? This university is designed to take 4-5 years out of your life. I am not Joking. Some people referred it is what you make out of it, that is completely BS. Quality of education? You must be kidding me ? I have to learn everything myself, do you think i can get all those labs done with the help of stupid PowerPoints?

I go to class, instructor shows PowerPoints, and i go to lab and write a lab report and done. Do you think he deserves his salary ? My instructor comes to class drinks his coffee and reads from slides and i complete labs. Some of you might say right now, so why the hell are you doing in RIT then? because i moved here and i can not go back bec of financial reasons.Otherwise i would be gone long long time ago believe me.

Parties? I mean sausage festivals ? yeah just attend one of them you will know what i am talking about. Sport clubs, how the hell i am gonna find time to play sports with this busy schedule? I bough a $100 book 700 pages and instructor only goes 200 pages in 10 weeks quarter, so why i paid that money for 200 pages? i don't know, i was told to do so. Some people referred about co-op :) What if i don't want to go to co-op? let me graduate and find a job myself? Let me get the hell out of RIT and then find a job myself, and put my diploma that i had co-op and i did not have co-op. So what ? Bottom line is, i don't like RIT at all, some courses are fun but overall don't come to this school to be miserable for 4-5 years in your life. Go to different school and enjoy your life. You will only live this life once, and enjoy every single minute of it.

Question
Ok let me tell you my story.BrightSchool of Information
Ok let me tell you my story. I was very popular in high school and I always found it easy to make friends. When I first started coming here it was nice how all of us freshman would smile to each other or say 'hi' as we passed each other in the dorms. I made a few friends within the first couple of weeks - and then the winter came. First campus safety stopped letting us go to colony so we could only party on campus and then everyone in my dorm started to just stay inside and play on the computers. By the end of that year almost all of my friends had dropped out and since they were the only people I interacted with, I now I had like 0 friends. I tried to meet new people but it seemed like everyone I met would end up being a snob or a prick in some way. You can't even try to talk to the girls because they automatically assume you're trying to hit on them and why should they talk to you when there's 15 guys back at their dorm that they could already have. The frats are gay and they live in disgusting filthy beer-soaked houses. I pledged but I quit after we got yelled at for smoking weed, plus the girls they hung out with sucked and all they did was play beirut. So now that I am a 4th year student, how does the story end? Nothing has changed. 4 years have passed and I still only have a few acquaintances. I sit in my room on Friday and Saturday night and drink by myself and learn things on my computer like programming and stuff. My spirit is broken, my social skills have degraded severely, I now have a very bad temper and I am always angry at everything. My friends from home won't even come up to visit because it is 'too boring' here. This is what happens when you come to RIT. Your only chance is to be lucky enough to end up on a cool co-ed floor where you can forge some relationships that will hopefully endure. Like I said, I now only have a few acquaintances and I just saw one of my 'friends' on campus the other day and we just said 'hi' and walked right by each other. If you can get into another school with the same program, you really should go there. There is more to life then just making money and getting a degree. Going 4 years with very little fun will kill your spirit.

Question
All I can say that this univerisity isAverageSchool of Information
All I can say that this univerisity is plan bored and makes me so depressed. Because I am so depressed, I didn't maintain my grades very well. When I first came, I did. The point here is that RIT social life makes is so plan bored. As a matter of fact, it degrading my socializing skills with other people.

I am getting tired of people gluing their butts on the computer 24/7 and have nothing else to do! But I can't complain, it's their life.

The teacher at RIT doesn't necessarily values student's life. They just value all about themselves. They just invest their money on something that please themsleves. They just purchase a 60 million dollars worth of a artichiture statue of something. I am not quite sure what it is. But that I heard. It's so obvious that 60 million dollars is part of our college expenses. And They are cutting of programs, teachers, loans, and other source that helps students to become successful in college. There is alot of list that goes on. And pretty most of the things are covered on what other undergraduated student posted on this forum.
