I just don't understand people that like RIT.Quite BrightSchool of Information
I just don't understand people that like RIT. I don't know what they like about? Brick city? ugly girls? boring city? Weather? ignorant faculty members? Terrible on-campus apartments? mouse hole dorms? DAMN QUARTER SYSTEM?

I mean come on? i think i made a huge mistake to transfer to RIT. I have read articles on this website before i transferred here and i was thinking that it should not be too bad. Are you freaking kidding me ? This university is designed to take 4-5 years out of your life. I am not Joking. Some people referred it is what you make out of it, that is completely BS. Quality of education? You must be kidding me ? I have to learn everything myself, do you think i can get all those labs done with the help of stupid PowerPoints?

I go to class, instructor shows PowerPoints, and i go to lab and write a lab report and done. Do you think he deserves his salary ? My instructor comes to class drinks his coffee and reads from slides and i complete labs. Some of you might say right now, so why the hell are you doing in RIT then? because i moved here and i can not go back bec of financial reasons.Otherwise i would be gone long long time ago believe me.

Parties? I mean sausage festivals ? yeah just attend one of them you will know what i am talking about. Sport clubs, how the hell i am gonna find time to play sports with this busy schedule? I bough a $100 book 700 pages and instructor only goes 200 pages in 10 weeks quarter, so why i paid that money for 200 pages? i don't know, i was told to do so. Some people referred about co-op :) What if i don't want to go to co-op? let me graduate and find a job myself? Let me get the hell out of RIT and then find a job myself, and put my diploma that i had co-op and i did not have co-op. So what ? Bottom line is, i don't like RIT at all, some courses are fun but overall don't come to this school to be miserable for 4-5 years in your life. Go to different school and enjoy your life. You will only live this life once, and enjoy every single minute of it.

Question
I've been here for a while and ImBrightSchool of Information
I've been here for a while and Im glad and ok that I went here. I'm a transfer student and one thing I noticed is the kids giving crap about this school are either:

a)interior design majors
b)excessive partiers who whineIt's amazing that some people give bad reviews cause its all brick. Wow!! The buildings are all brick, let's cry about it! This school is definately NOT as bad as some people say it is. Im in the IT major and so far its a decent experience. Although fair warning for IT majors, a decent amount of the kids in here love or are obsessed with computers or videogames. For me, Im obsessed with music but I am good with computers so I don't really mind it but for some people it will bug them if they connect with some of the obsessed IT kids. There are girls here and surprisingly a decent amount for a school like this (alot of girls here are artsy which I find attractive so if you don't, you will think they are nasty) This school has a quarter system which is good and bad for two reasons. The good is that teachers have less time to teach material so busy work is at an all-time low. The bad is of course, a faster rate and more upcoming exams/quizes. Socially, you will love it, hate it, or be whatever like I am. If you are a really outgoing person who loves to party everynight you will hate this school. Alot of the school's kids are introverted and are a bore to even talk to (alot of the engineers are dead on the inside) but you will find someone like any school; if not, make freinds by going to shows, etc. The school has a mix of alot of nerdy dudes, artsy guys, normal preppy guys, metalheads, punks, so, you will find alot of different people versus a dull state school. In summation, I would recommend this school to anyone who can actually study and also be ready for a diverse type of crowd. If I had a chance to rethink it I might have tried another major but I'm not much good at anything else so probably not. Just remember again, alot of the people complaining are crybabies. The people who can't find jobs are either in a overcrowded major with no jobs available or do not look for jobs outside of there area (maybe one two states, I plan to apply not only in all states but also in other countries).
