Well, Alfred in my opinion is good ifSuper BrilliantPsychology
Well, Alfred in my opinion is good if you fall into the narrow social categories and cliques. If you don't, you're likely to be ostracized and be on your own. Academically, Alfred is a wonderful place with professors who genuinely care about you if you seek out their help. If it weren't for the professors, I wouldn't have lasted here as long as I did. Socially, Alfred is a shithole, but if you take the time to find the right resources here to succeed, it isn't that bad.

Question
Alfred University is a very small university inBrightEngineering Department
Alfred University is a very small university in the poorest county of New York state. I've never even heard of it before and only applied because I recieved a scholarship and it has an engineering deparment, which doesn't even have electrical engineering (my choice of major). The school virtually accepts just about everybody and there are so many arrogant, ignorant, closeminded students. I have only made two good friends at this school and it was even over the fact that all three of us hate it here and are transferring after just one year. The town has nothing, your body does not function on the food and it is certainly not worth the hefty price tag. My biggest mistake in highschool was that I did not care enough and do enough research. Take my advice: Do research, put forth the effort, plan ahead of time and CHOOSE WISELY!!! This place is miserable, I am so glad to get the f**k outta here.

Question
I had two very different experiences with Alfred.Quite BrightPsychology
I had two very different experiences with Alfred. The psych department was cold, unfriendly, and unhelpful. I was told after father died that since I was not going to therapy I must not be that upset. After this I transferred majors and fell in love with the sociology department. They were helpful, make classes challenging, and showed true empathy to the students they taught. (a quality I am still shocked that the psychology depatment did not process)
