Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I personally love Carolina, and if there isSuper Brilliant
I personally love Carolina, and if there is one thing that I have noticed about all the negative comments on here, it is that they are all complaining about things that exist at every large school. Big state school are not for everyone, and I understand that some people will not like them. However, aside from that, there is literally nothing bad about UNC. We have an amazing social life, great academics, and a fantastic reputation all over the country. I would never go anyplace else. For those who don't like big schools, the solution is simple...don't go to one.

Question
UNC is a great graduate school and, ifBrightBiology
UNC is a great graduate school and, if I had to do over, i would wait til graduate school to go here. As an undergraduate, the education is just too impersonal and not worth the extra out of state expense. It is a big state school with big classes and a huge range of ability among the student population. If you are southern and enjoy Greek life and big time sports, this is the place for you. I did not find this to be an intellectually stimulating environment and it was fairly easy to get good grades. Be forewarned, there is a lot of cheating in the large classes. Many profs recycle their old tests year after year. Be sure to make friends with others so you can have access to these materials!

Question
I love Carolina! As a transfer student atQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
I love Carolina! As a transfer student at Carolina from another UNC-system school I do not regret my decision for a second. Sure Carolina has its flaws. The overall student body sometimes seems cold or some of those gen ed classes will really chew you up and spit you out. Which is why Brown was always my other dream school, but I have made many friends, especially by getting involved on-campus, and I know I am getting a fantastic education at one of the best universities (and undergraduate business programs) in the country, and ultimately, I will have a successful career thanks to Carolina. GO HEELS!
