Batsies are very approachable and friendly.Quite BrightPolitical Science
Batsies are very approachable and friendly. There are very few cliques on campus. We had a 100% acceptence rate into Med. school last year... national average is only roughly 50%. Not bad for a little school in Maine. Profs. are very intelligent with lots of background in the subject they are teaching. You know you're at a good school when Harvard courses are taught with a book that your prof wrote himself (my social Anthropology prof.) I can't see myself anywhere else. I really can't.

I've loved my first year here at Bates.Quite BrightPsychology
I've loved my first year here at Bates. It's been a wonderful experience. Everyone, from the students and the professors to the cafeteria workers and the cleaning staff, is friendly and personable. The classes are challenging without being overwhelming. Even the food in the cafeteria is pretty good. Interested students should definitely come visit to be able to fully appreciate the beautiful campus and the great atmosphere.
