Everyone at Bates really made me feel welcome when I came to the school this fall. Its really a unique experience at Bates. All of the students in my house on campus are really supportive of each other, and we all look for each other academically. The campus is beautiful and the students and faculty are absolutely great! I've learned a lot about myself since I started going to Bates.

“Going to Bates was one of the bestPolitical Science
Going to Bates was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I was, at first reluctant to attend a small school, but after about a month at Bates I was glad I did.
Bates is a great place. People do work hard, but they also play hard and play often. At times Lewiston can be a drag, but all in all, it isn't half bad. There is a lot to do in the area, and a lot to do on campus.

I LOVE Bates. it has been the perfect college for me-people are friendly, the campus is beautiful, and they really care about the students. Studying abroad is HUGE at Bates and I love this- I even studied abroad as a first semester freshman, as well as during my junior year-and I will still graduate on time.
