Coming for Chicago i thought that murray wasNot so brightPolitical Science
Coming for Chicago i thought that murray was the best school in the world. In less than 2 weeks in the school year i hated the town. There is nothing to do. If you are not a frat you have no night life. The school is nice, but the town is in the middle of no where. Do not attend murray if you live the big city like i do. If you like the small town small minded south than murray is the place for you.

Question
Murray was the best learning experience of myGeography and Geosciences
Murray was the best learning experience of my life, and also the most fun. Much of what I learned was character building. My advice to anyone just starting---and what I wish I had done---is to get your masters/mba right after graduation, and try to learn as much as you can about business politics before entering the dog-eat-dog world of big business.

Question
I am all the way from Connecticut, soQuite BrightPreVet and Veterinary
I am all the way from Connecticut, so coming here has been a bit of a culture shock. Everyone loves church, country music, and their trucks, which are some things I don't care for BUT they are very interested in getting to know me and what I come from which is great. Before deciding to come here make sure you're aware that Murray, KY is basically only Murray State...it's not a huge city. Despite what a lot of people have said though, there is TONS to do on the weekends: go to the movies, EAT, party, participate in clubs, etc. there's something for everyone here. Everyone seems to know each other because they all come from the same states, so I'm a bit of an outcast and I knew that's how it would be. I'm going on my 3rd week here as a freshman and I can honestly say that this is home to me. It's so refreshing and EVERYONE wants you to succeed, it's a very positive university. I also love that everyone who goes here actually likes the school, and if they don't it's because they most likely are poor students and are having a hard time. From someone who is a huge outsider I have already fallen in love with this place, make sure you check it out for yourself first though, but I can honestly say everyone could call this home.
