Florida State University

FSU is a great school as far as the academic environment. The teachers are excellent and I think I am getting a good education. There is plenty of opportunity to take the classes you need and the course offerings are awesome.

The social atmosphere is fun too. There is alot to do in and around campus. People are friendly and you will meet people in classes, at the library, just about anywhere you go.

The biggest negative is the greek system. I wanted to get involved in it but so many people told me to stay away. It is filled with lower quality people and I didn't want to be dragged down. If this is important to you, do not go here.

2nd Year Female -- Class 2012

Education Quality: A, Social Life: C+

Apply immediatly for housing. If you're 300+ on the waiting list, you probably don't have much of a chance to get on-campus housing.

2nd Year Female -- Class 2007

Social Life: A+, University Resource Use/ spending: F

FSU is a party school. Always was always will be. If you're unfocused or new to the party scene DO NOT PARTY YOUR FIRST SEMESTER EVERYNIGHT! Most students lose there scholarships the first year or get kicked out for bad grades for partying too much. This school is what you make of it, but there is alot of room to screw up if you don't stay focused. Teachers are a mix of good and bad. Def. check out rate my professor before getting classes. Summer teachers are also alot easier, so if you know its going to be a tough class take it over summer.
