I worked hard in high schoolMay 07 2018Animal Studies
I worked hard in high school. Honestly if you have an average above a 94 in high school, you are probably good. However, 92-94 they sometimes put people on the waiting list. Reach for the higher grades. I personally didn't like to take a lot of APs, I only took three. But just have one-four to show on your transcript. In college APs don't mean anything - just extra credits you have to further you along. Also join groups and clubs in high school, become a leader in them. Definitely get involved and show how you are different in your college essay.

I came in from a community college with a 4.0 and a 2100 sat score(that was in 2012 when the score range went up to 2400)

Recomendations: dont waste your money: go to an online school

I transferred in with 52 credits and a 2Nov 18 2016Economics
I transferred in with 52 credits and a 2.9 GPA from NCC. I did not submit my SAT scores or any essay. Just apply early and have a good GPA and you should be fine.
I had many hours of community service at twoMar 28 2016Biology
I had many hours of community service at two departments within a hospital and nursing home. I had chemistry and Biology recommendations. SAT was about 1600. GPA 3.3.

If you get in, study, study, study. if you think you know everything for the exams, no you dont, study some more. Freshmen year look for research and Ta positions. Try to get in the important classes because depending on the time they give you, you might not get the class you need, therefore you would be a YEAR behind. Its a Year behind because some classes are available in Fall ONLY or Spring ONLY. (ex miss class for fall only can't take in until the following fall)
