I did well on my SAT (2050) and RegentsOct 29 2006English
I did well on my SAT (2050) and Regents (since I'm a native New Yorker), I wrote a good essay and had extracurriculars. I imagine it's just like getting into any other college.

Basically, my parents made me apply to a stateJun 27 2005Biology
Basically, my parents made me apply to a state school amoung my other choices. I handed in the application basically the last day, didnt do the essay...or the parent essay..or anything else i really needed to do. I didnt send a resume, and didnt try to sell myself at all. In all, geneseo had my high school transcript and SAT scores. Both were well above average. Low and behold, i get into suny geneseo, and i ended up there. they just look at SAT scores, and a high school average above 93...thats all you need and youre more than in.

Well, I didn't do much in high school butSep 07 2002Math
Well, I didn't do much in high school but play sports. I was in a few honor societies, and consider myself to have been an above average student in high school. I thought my college essay was humorous (I wrote it about my feelings toward killing people in movies vs. killing animals). I really don't know what made them chose me. Admissions is so screwy that you never can tell why they chose some over others. It depends on the applicant pool each year. Just do what you want to do and be yourself. Don't do something just because it 'looks good'. It gives people the wrong impression of you.
SAT: 1250 Female
