West Virginia Wesleyan College is one of theComputer Science
West Virginia Wesleyan College is one of the best kept secrets in American higher education. Since graduation, I have met graduates from many other colleges, including those in the Ivy League, and found that the preparation Wesleyan offers is as least as good (and often better) than what other larger and better known schools provide. I'm now in graduate school at Johns Hopkins, and am grateful for the opportunity to experience the friendly, collegiate all-American atmosphere that is Wesleyan's hallmark. I really recommend that prospective students consider first attending a smaller liberal arts school like Wesleyan where they can get strong academics, personal attention, and a well-rounded education, before venturing off to larger and more prominent graduate schools. You will be well-prepared, and you will have a rich undergraduate experience that students at other schools will not have the opportunity to experience.

Question
Wesleyan is aq nice size campus for theBrightOther
Wesleyan is aq nice size campus for the person who likes to know their professors and classmates and yet doesnt want to be surrounded by the same few people all the time. With 1200 students you get a nice variety but school feels like home. wesleyan also has an awesome greek system that strives to give members a chance to grow and accomplish more than an average student would!

Question
I went to this school thinking I wasQuite BrightUndecided
I went to this school thinking I was going to grow not only as a student but spiritually as well and this school did not offer that. There are Frat parties almost everynight and don't even get me started on what "Wesleyan Wednesday's" are all about. Don't get me wrong there are strong Christian students here but can be hard to find. This school shouldn't even be using the name Wesleyan in their name. If Charles Wesley knew what was going on in this school he'd be rolling around in his grave asking God to forgive each and everyone of the students AND professors who bash the name of Christ everyday on this campis Most of the professors here are very VERY liberal, some cuss in class and others just rant on and on about nothing. They recently converted almost every dorm except for two into coed dorms because they wanted a higher "retention rate' which is just bologna. All they want is your money and will except anyone and everyone who is somewhat interested in this institution. People have sex all the time in the dorms and if you try "C-blocking" any of them, they'll make your life miserable. Although I didn't have that great of an experience, I can tell you that some of the professors were very helpful and flexible with all of the students. Just don't take advantage of it. All in all, this school was definitely not where God wanted me to be the rest of my college career. He did bless me with some amazing friends that helped me with my walk with Christ and I couldn't ask him for anything better. After a lot of prayer I decided to transfer and it was the best decision I could have ever made. Please consider all of these factors listed above before committing your life, time and MONEY to this college.
