I didn't think the school would be thisQuite BrightElectrical Engineering
I didn't think the school would be this great! VCU is a school where you can have fun and be extremely challenged in your own field at the same time. If you are thinking of majoring in engineering you definitely should give this school a chance because, unlike other schools, common courses (like calculus, chemistry, physics...) aren't the only courses you'll take for the first two years;all the engineering courses other schools normally give after the sophomore year are given starting from the first year. I am a freshman already majoring in electrical engineering and i am already enrolled in an introduction to electrical and computer engineering class and by the end of the semester i would have built a robot!!!

Get a graduate degreeBusiness - Management and Administration
Get a graduate degree from a college where you plan to live, or from one of the top ten colleges. Anything else, it will open doors, but it will not be the great help that universities sell you.

Have been checking out the student reviews for a number of schools and have a word of advice for those reading all the negativity on these sites.

PLEASE consider the sources... in most cases these comments are coming from very unhappy people and it probably would not matter what school these folks went to, the results would be similiar.

ALL of life is what YOU make it. NO ONE owes you a smile or an organized activity, or an attaboy every day. You are an adult now... and the folks on these sites who do nothing but complain are still figuring that out. Put things in perspective - and get on with doing YOUR BEST.Go to afghanistan for a year (for example) with the US Army and THEN come home and complain about the food in the student center?! Those comments are coming from 'kids' who miss mommy wiping their backsides every day... so do yourself a favor and skip looking at this so called student review stuff... most all commenting here are going nowhere but home to mama:) WORK HARD and you'll open your own windows of opportunity. GOOD LUCK!
