Where you go toJournalism
Where you go to college and how you learn has minimal impact on the kind of job you get and how much money you make. It has a ton more impact on the perspective you take on the world . . . which is more valuable anyway. It's just not what you'd expect to find.

Question
If you want a tough complete education, BJUQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
If you want a tough complete education, BJU is the place. You are better off not asking for quarter because you will receive none. You are expected to do your own work and to do it at a very high level. This is to prepare you for your "real life" after college. After college a number of people have to re-learn how to work hard in order to get ahead, not BJU grads - you hit the ground running and are noticed by your company. I am receiving an MBA from another "state" school and had no trouble in being admitted to the program. In fact I was accepted at three different "state" institutions, so for me the non-accredidation thing was not a problem. I suggest that the people that had trouble getting into grad school did not deserve to and have chosen to blame BJU. I used to be in the military for a number of years, so when people complain about the rules - it just makes me laugh. I don't agree 100% with BJU, but it is a very fine institution with people that are concerned for you and your success, you won't get that at a lot of schools. As far as BJU causing problems later in life, again I believe that is because these individuals have trouble naturally fitting in with society so they blame BJU. I have had many discussions about BJU with people and they've come away understanding that the school is not inhabited by aliens, we're just regular folks. As far as people having spiritual problems at BJU, people run into problems at different times in their lives and some happen to be while in college. Again, BJU gets the blame because the problem couldn't be with them so it must be the school. Ever heard of personal responsibility? I will say that BJU is not for everybody, but neither are Ivy League schools or the military or any number of other things. Just make a good decision for yourself. If you go there and like it - great. If you go there and hate it - leave. Not real hard, things I don't care for I don't dwell on for years and years, but of course I am sane.

Question
Bob Jones University is truly a place whereReligion/Religious
Bob Jones University is truly a place where God's hand is at work. After reading many of the other comments it is obvious that many students leave BJU very bitter and and not presently walking under the control of the Holy Spirit. Many of the negative comments made reflect the hearts of individuals who clearly are not walking in fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ. I spend five years at a Government funded school (that means public college). These were five horrible years where Christ is swept aside and God is truly hated. The liberals and feminists truly have their talons in these state (public) schools. They are of no value to a person who seeks a character reflecting the image of Jesus Christ.

For those who attack the rules this also is another evidence that even in Christian circles their is a great inconsistency among parents and churches. Personally, I place the responsibility on parents who do not raise ther children in accordance with the Bible.

For those who don't understand great docrines of the faith such as justification and sanctification a good dosage of the Bible will do them some good. Sanctify them with thy truth, they word is truth.

For those who seek accredidation. Well its obvious that their motivates are wrong. They do not seek to please GOd but seek to please men. They focus on salaries and the praise of the liberal corporate world. Year after year employers come to BJU seeking people of Christlike character not those seeking to fit in with the world. Oh by the way the majority of the faculty got their advanced degrees away from BJU. I wonder how that happened if grad schools won't accept transcripts from BJU. Think about it the next time BJU is attacked by sinful people. May the grace and peace of Christ be with you.
