Considering how little us students pay in tuition, i guess this place is good. Most of the people are not friendly but there are still good friends to be had. I doubt anyone actually "learns" anything here. Almost no concepts are taught, it's really just memorizing formulas for a test. You get what you pay for at Pitt, a second-rate education on a second-rate campus, but also at a second-rate price ;?) Char is sexy, Go Pitt!

1st Year Male -- Class 2007

I was always a great student in high school. Pitt engineering is by far the toughest, most challenging, and hardest thing i have ever done in my life. but hopefully it will be worth it, although it is an extreme amount of work, and it takes up a lot of time, i am still....barely able, but able, to fit in time to play on the hockey team as well here at pitt.

2nd Year Male -- Class 2006

Education Quality: A+, Friendliness: D

This school was not my first choice, it was my last choice. I came here because of the freshmen guarantee into their grad program. WRONG IDEA, I'm not staying here for 6+ years. The classes aren't challenging, I had to get on people's asses to do their work in Honors classes! My teachers that were good, were graduate students. If you don't drink beer or like to party, this is the wrong place. The city shuts down after 10pm, so good luck finding something to do other than sitting in the dorm racking up your Blockbuster points. Since the weather sucks, everyone gets depressed from not seeing the sun. If youre too afraid to leave your PA hometown, come here. If youre brave enough and independent enough, find somewhere else.
