Question
Quite Bright
Depending on the program of study you want, Pitt can be good or bad. For most, Pitt is an excellent and often overlooked school.

Question
I wish i left earlier.Average
I wish i left earlier. at least i graduated and will be leaving this godforsaken school. if youre not studying something in the science department, tough luck. dont expect too much from any of your classes. even honors courses dont deserve the title "honor". whats the honor in taking a class with kids that think theyre smart because they got some award in high school? huge intro classes, large upper level classes, lots of non-english speaking ta's, everyone here is pre-med until they take robert's biology class... student body is very white (ive heard figures in the 80% range), very pennsylvanian (particularly western pa, which is nothing to be proud of), and dying to find something to keep them going (atleast the steelers did well last season). athletes are gods here, dont expect to have anything handed to you unless youre one. lame frat parties (fraternities in western pa are a JOKE), lamer house parties... sorry im so bitter. it must be because im leaving. on the upside, there a few things ill miss. pittsburgh, the city itself, should be given more credit. theres tons of culture here, especially black culture. the play Fences is set and written by a Pittsburgh native, August Wilson. downtown pittsburgh can take your breath away on a sunny day. the O will also take your breath away when you have a heart attack. joe mama's is a great restaurant, and you can find a few good bars in the oakland area. the pete is an amazing facility, be sure to use it as much a possible. go to football games on the river, go to basketball games in the pete (Oakland Zoo), and Antoon's pizza is a perfect accessory to a night of beer drinking. pennsylvania hall is sweet, and so is sutherland. housing in the quad like bruce is also real nice. anythings nicer than the towers, which i will admit was a great way to force you to meet people as a freshmen. theres nothing more awkward than waiting in an elevator for 18 floors with a complete stranger... overall, im not happy i stayed here as long as i did, but i will miss it... going to grad school next fall... good luck to all you who search for the right college.
