For the money you pay, the school is amazing. I transfered from a nearby private university and was surprised at how comparable it was to that, it actually surpassed my expectations.

Question
I transferred to Temple for my junior yearQuite BrightCommunications
I transferred to Temple for my junior year and I was absolutely satisfied. The best part was that I was able to choose the classes I wanted to take without having to hunt down professors and advisors for signatures beforehand...aAfterall, I was the one paying for the education, not them! My previous school was terrible for that. I was often in classes I did not even want to take just to remain full-time. Temple's faculty and staff, with the exception of the parking garage personnel are fantastic! I would go there again!

Question
As a senior majoring in journalism and minoringQuite BrightJournalism
As a senior majoring in journalism and minoring in political science, I've enjoyed my time here at Temple for the most part. The professors I've encountered in my major are very helpful, and the student body is friendly. Best of all, Temple's relatively inexpensive compared to most colleges, especially if you're an in-state student.

However, if you're looking for a party school, Temple is definitely not for you. The campus resembles a ghost town on most weekends, possibly because more than half of the school's students are commuters. And if you're looking for a school with a competitive football team, Temple is definitely not for you.

Temple's main campus is not exactly surrounded by the greatest of neighborhoods, but I haven't had any problems. The campus is well lit at night, and the school's police force is actually the third-largest in the state (behind the City of Philadelphia and the City of Pittsburgh). Finally, if you plan on going to Temple and are lucky enough to get on-campus housing during your first year, don't count on having it in future years ... student housing is determined through a lottery, and those who lose out either have to find a place off-campus to live or transfer to another school.
