To be honest, the first 2 or 3BrightMechanical Engineering
To be honest, the first 2 or 3 weeks of school I absolutely hated it. RIT has defintiely grown on me, and i hear that it only get's better.

Social life--is better than i anticipated. There is ALWAYS something to do weather you party or not.

Academics--very very very difficult. I am a pretty smart person but i was totally taken back when i came here. I didnt excpect RIT to be easy but i didnt expect it to be this hard.

Food--the food is soooo good...freshman 15!!!
Dorms--the dorms are pretty average living. The best thing about RIT is the campus. It has everything you could ever want and everything is basically brand new. The campus is my favorite thing about the school

I am an out-of-state student and i basically came here to play soccer, but ended up getting hurt and not playing. Now that i am not on a team i kind of regret going here but its not that bad. The work is really really tough and theres a lot of it. Totally different than high school 100%.

Some people say RIT is not a party school, there are a ton of parties all the time as long as you dont hang out with the nerdy kids. The parties arent always the best quality but theyre easy to find.

Also, there are a lot of nerds here but it isnt a bad thing necessarily. They help me with my work!!! I am here for engineering so obviously coming to a tech school is for my benefit in the future but RIT has every major which makes it more diverse than people think it is. The campus is really pretty in the fall (not winter) and there is always a ton of stuff going on and the food is realllllly good!
