The University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill

Overall, UNC-Chapel Hill provides a healthy balance between academics and extracurricular activities. Upper level undergraduate courses are difficult/demanding whereas courses for freshman/sophomores are relatively painless. The school's student composition is 82% in-state and 18% out of state. My experience was that in-staters and out-of-staters don't mesh well.

The university is going downhill. They paint a nice picture for you, then you get here, it is totally different. There are some positive things about Carolina, but there are more negative things about this school and the negatives out number the positives. My recommendation is to do your research before you decide on any school you may attend. You don't want to be stuck in hell like I am right now. I can't wait to get out of here. The snobs that they call students tend to issue their sometimes racist views in the path of others.

Education Quality: C, Faculty Accessibility: F

Be prepared to feel like a number. Faculty in my department don't seem to enjoy interacting with students but most of them are decent teachers.
