Question
This is my third year in this universityBrightSociology
This is my third year in this university and I must admit, the academics here really are top notch. The professors here are incredibly friendly and I always feel challenged. I just can't disregard how extremely isolating it can get here. The student body is indeed book smart, but they are generally awkward. The social life here is terrible and people can't seem to talk about anything other than academics (which I don't mind talking about to a certain extent). If you plan on making friends with anyone here be prepared to feel forced to meet their incredibly high expectations of you. If you choose to try and befriend some people here prepare to live the rest of your academic career pretending to be someone you're not. The benefits of being in such a small school is the individualized attention that you can get from teachers and ta's. The downsides, you literally see the same people all the time. And don't be fooled people here are always judging you. This school specializes in passive aggressiveness. I seriously can't wait to get out of here.

Question
Just spent four years here. Not so bright
Just spent four years here. The academics aren't bad, but it's true what they say about Brandeis, that there really isn't much else going on at the school. The students are friendly and pretty book smart but they don't really have a clue what they want to do with their lives, and they study study study because they don't really switch focus to something outside of their really specialized interests...lots of Aspergers syndrome tbh. But some people fit in here and do well, it's just not what most people want out of a college experience. If you're more of a socially typical person, either go Greek, or transfer because otherwise you'll definitely get bored of the monotony and burn out.
