The college may work for some, but for me it doesn't seem like a university, but more of a trade school mentality.

Question
If you can go anywhere but here.Quite BrightSocial Work
If you can go anywhere but here. Financial aid office is horrible. The student workers are ignorant snoots. You will be left to fend fir yourself if you are a transfer student. The finanial aid slash admissions office is redundant. They have you run in circles and always tell you they need more info after leaving. You probably spend most of the time going back and forth with them Your credits arent likely to transfer. the school is so boring. some of the instructors aee nice

Question
I am a student at Southeastern Louisiana UniversityBrightPsychology
I am a student at Southeastern Louisiana University in the small town of Hammond. The town is cute, slower paced with some bars and a "club" for those who have to party every weekend. Anyway, the school is mediocre. I actually transferred here from Delgado community college. My math classes didn't transfer with me. The main thing that really screwed me up was the fact that I was NEVER informed that transfer students are automatically put on financial aid probation. So when I didn't pass my remedial math class, I was put on financial aid suspension and I couldn't figure out why this was happening. I dealt with this problem for nearly a year. The financial aid staff seem to be completely incompetent. The older woman that is usually behind her desk in the financial aid office always walks out when my husband and I come in. She's often on Facebook, as are the student workers and acts pissed off when she has to do her job. The first math instructor I had stated that "you all probably know this already" our first day in class and never truly taught. I had a 3.3 GPA when I transferred and it quickly dropped to a 2.9. It feels like the rest of the student population are simple nitwits coasting on D's. Which is why there is so much red tape to cross. I've had a few wonderful professors who really enjoyed the subject they were teaching and where exceptionally knowledgeable. Overall, if I had the choice I would not be here. I wouldn't even be in Louisiana if I could afford it. And don't get me started on LSU. What a joke.
