Murray is a great university, but one problem is the lack of things to do on the weekend. There is really nothing to do at night because everything is closed and there is really nothing here besides MSU. So if you don't plan on going to parties and drinking, I wouldn't come here because there isn't much else to do.

Murray State University is a wonderful, friendly and accomadating university in a beautiful region near Kentucky Lake. Murray is a small town of about 15,000 people, but offers many of the opportunities on campus of a much larger university, such as NCAA Division 1 athletics, Greek life, concerts and many other events. For students looking for a wild night life, or a place to attend huge parties, Murray may not be for you, but that was something I enjoyed about MSU. You have the opportunity to better yourself through a variety of diverse activities, and there is not a large focus put on "partying." Murray offers a quality education at a very affordable price with many nationally and professionally accredited academic programs. Murray is a very safe campus and community, with a friendly small-town atmosphere. I enjoyed all the study abroad opportunities that were available to me, involvement in the Greek community and my residential college, as well as the Honors Program. MSU is a great place!
