Governors State University

The school is quite affordable and offers a lot of night classes, most of the staff is friendly. However, it is very difficult to contact many staff members and professors - limited office hours, delayed response or no response at all from emails. Many of the professors I had at my time at this school did not seem to be fully interested in teaching. This may be due to the amount of students who don't seem to care either, because there are a lot of those as well. I felt particularly uninspired and unmotivated at this university. Though it was an affordable school and course hours work well with a full time work schedule, I would choose to attend a different university if possible.

Governors State University is completely horrible! I had a horrible experience with them along with voicing my concerns. When voicing my concerns in regards to professors making fun of mentally disabled students, they slid it under the carpet by telling me to no longer contact them. They overcharged me for tuition and then told me that they do not care if I do not like the result of their responses. They ignored me for days and then after I explained my situation they said they confused me for another student. They forgot to put my name in the graduation ballet. They lost paperwork of my internship that I completed and got signed in Florida. After walking across the stage for graduation they then cancelled my graduation application without telling me. It is completely unacceptable of how they responded to me to keep things quiet in regards to this.

I've heard in the last few weeks through emails that students are being discriminated against by their sex. I've heard they have been intimadated by their techers and teachers feel they don't need to follow the law.. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!!
