This is a great community college!Super BrilliantArt & Design Department
This is a great community college! CLC has a great art department and a large library where the very helpful staff will assist you in finding anything. The faculty are very helpful and interested in helping you succeed. I have only two complaints:

1. Some of the professors make their classes way too easy so anyone can get an A without difficulty. However, you don't have to coast along at the minimum required to get an A, if you want to learn you will.

2. The only people not helpful at this school work in the financial aid department. The majority of the people I've talked to here were either clueless, or I had to beg them for help before they would bother to hand me a brochure sitting in their desk.

If you take philosophy, take it with Professor Trimier. I learned so much from her class and it was a lot of fun.If you want to become an artist, take classes with Professor Hronek. You will learn a LOT.

CLC is a great college that fits a need in the community. I wish more students would take advantage of it and that those who don't understand that it is a "real college" would take the time to get the facts. Having been to both a university and a community college, I know that the courses are just as good and just as difficult at the community college as at the university.

Going to the College of Lake County wasn'tBrightMath
Going to the College of Lake County wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Granted, it's nice to get away from home for bit and go away for college, but I'm saving a lot of money. Whenever I need help with school stuff, I know where and when to go. My teachers stick to their office hours and are easy contact.
