BCC is definetly like high school, except there are always a handful of older people returning to school. Most of my classes consisted of 1/2 high schoolers, 1/4 older, and 1/4 18-25 years old. The high school kids forget that this is college and they complain, write notes, talk in class, make excuses, etc. This is a wonderful school if you can't decide where you want to go in life, but it also makes others feel cheated... like myself. I have achieved straight A's, with a few great prof's, some REALLY bad, but most are average. The appearance has gotten a lot better, but there are not any social activities. Life can be quite depressing if your expecting to broaden your horizons while going here.

There are not many activities on campus ( or they are not spoken of often). This college is great for people who have been away from college for a long period of time. It is also great for those who do not think college is for them and want to "try" college out first. The cost is very reasonable.

Question
Wait, am I in college or high school?Quite BrightAnthropology
Wait, am I in college or high school? From the difficulty of the classwork I would say that this is more like high school. Some of the teacher at BCC should not even be teaching. Actually, with the exception of some of my science and art classes, I would say that this is the vast majority of the teachers.

Many of the students have no place in college. It really lessens the classroom experience when you have students who still act like they are in high school (disrupting the class). One of my English classes had a student whin "I can't read Hamlet, I don't know any of this Shakesphere language crap." The not so brilliant teacher responded "Yes, I know early English is hard at first." If you an English teacher, shouldn't you know that Hamlet is in fact written in modern English? But then, that's BCC for you.If you go to the Cocoa Campus, I suggest making sure you car is locked and you don't take night classes. This isn't the greatest part of town.
