There are good days, and there are badQuite BrightArchitecture & Urban Planning Department
There are good days, and there are bad days at this school. Come to school here with the capacity for advocacy, and the will to put forth the effort to create reciprocity within the school...in other words, don't expect situations to be handled for you. The University will remove you in an instant even if by their own fault. The faculty at Howard is pretty good, they come from all over the place, and are influencial (some more than others) in their discipline. Every now and then you'll run into a teacher who understands the material so well, that they can't teach it the way you need to learn...this is where advocacy comes in, it's imperative that you advocate for yourself and the others that you know, even though it sounds corny, the people that you go to school here with will become somewhat of a family to you, so do not buy into the individualism that is ruining us today...come to hu with the desire to learn and live and help out ur fellow man (yea it still sounds corny...).

Question
Howard was a great experience however, too manyCommunications
Howard was a great experience however, too many people including some of the administration was caught up on campus life and how it makes or breaks you and wasnt too focused on REAL LIFE itself. If you go to howard, dont get caught up in all the campus politics and make the experience work to your favor...its ashame to say, but you kind of have to HUSTLE your way through Howard. Just keep focused and take all the opportunities you can grab.

Question
There are a lot of things to beBrightElectrical Engineering
There are a lot of things to be considered about this school. First off, if you think that coming to this school is going to be easy. Forget it. If you're looking for a school where they pamper and baby you and make sure everything you need is taken care of. Forget it. If you want the top notch of everything and that everything is of high quality. Forget it. At Howard you will be dealing with everything. The best and worst that life can throw at you. The administration is not well organized and you will have to run down everything. You need one thing done? well then be prepared to spend the whole day getting it done and jumping from place to place. You will have professors who can barely speak english and those who can't teach. BUT.. in the end you will be a better person. The people you meet here are the best you will meet anywhere. You will be able to deal with life better than anyone from other schools. This is a school where you grow up a lot and if you've been given everything then sorry you shouldn't come here. The education here is just as good as anywhere IF you are willing to put in the work. Students from this school has gone onto MIT, Caltech, UC Berkeley, etc. The best schools in the world, but those people but in the extra work. You need to have drive and motivation to make it here. The neighbourhood is not the best, but it's not the worst. It's getting better, slowly but surely. Washington, DC has a lot to do. Parties, museums, art galleries, etc. This is an exciting city and you can get around very easily because of the Metro rail and bus system.
