Chapman prided itself back in '04 (when IBrightVideo/Media
Chapman prided itself back in '04 (when I applied) as having an above average film school. Classes were pretty good for the most part, and the faculty rocks. However, the prospects of you getting a meaningful job in the industry AFTER graduation are slim to NONE. I have been out of there and looking, and frankly they are just not "plugged in" They talk the talk but do not under any circumstances walk the walk about helping their students and alumni find meaningful work.On a lesser degree of importance, they could not settle on how the place should look. Used a lot of water to water spaces that they would rip out and re-landscape almost yearly. Pretty poor use of resources.

Question
After spending two years here, it was timeSuper BrilliantBiology
After spending two years here, it was time for me to go to another school (UC Berkeley) to finish my education. I came here with the firm belief that college is what you make of it, and I still hold that to be true. However, at Chapman, even if you are getting straight A's in the bio department, you still are not doing enough to be on par with students at other top universities. As a pre-med, I felt my chances of getting into a top med school were slim to none coming from here. However, this isn't because of the knowledge you are taught. I think that the classes actually prepare students rather well for the MCATs (if YOU put the time in and work and go above and BEYOND) and most serious contenders for med school will come out with a super high GPA(read: 3.9+). However, to put it bluntly, not many people get into med school from here. Actually, I can only recall one person in the past few years (no counting people who are post baccs, coming here with degrees from schools like Harvard UCLA etc.) that got into a DO program at some school I had never heard of. I shouldn't forget to mention he was the valedictorian.Only if you are truly prepared to go above and beyond at this school (and there are some people I know who are doing this and I think will make it!) in order to make yourself a stud in the med app pool will someplace HAVE to let you in. Don't expect for a second that Chapman's name will do anything for you in the pursuit of your goals!

Very disappointing so far.BrightEducation
Very disappointing so far. It's true a college is what you make it. However, the surrounding students and faculty are a big part of the experience too. I will write another review next year if I return.
