Question
UAB sucks unless you want to go toQuite BrightCommunications
UAB sucks unless you want to go to medical school. They milk you for every penny you have, and still screw you over. The "advisors" constantly screw up your schedule, if they indeed make time to "meet" up with you. There have been several muggings on campus & one murder right across the street from the business building. Some of my professors are very amazing and actually no what they are teaching....some though, don't even speak english and argue with you about them being right on subjects when you can factually prove them wrong....and they are sexist. I have had 2-3 reallllly good teachers, but thats it. I transferred from another school and they refused to take over 1/2 of my credits, and lost the 1/2 that I had left.....they discount other schools education due to the fact that those classes were not taken at a Alabama school---stupid classes like Public Speaking....so I guess you have to take redneck public speaking 101 to qualify for that transfer.....overall UAB sucks unless you want to work in the medical field.....don't go here unless you have no other options....

Question
Although I made it into my first choice,BrightEducation
Although I made it into my first choice, I decided to go to UAB (my safety) because it was closest to home and offered me the most money. Bad idea. Some of the faculty is very friendly and helpful, most are not. This university is so disorganized. If you go, expect them to lose important forms, forget you paid them already, and expect you to fix it all yourself. In fact, from my experience, expect to fix everything yourself. Residential life last year was hellacious as well. Do not live in Blazer Hall unless you are familiar with your roommate. If you happen to end up with a random drug-addicted, alcoholic who begins prostitution about halfway through the year, nothing will be done. They don't care as long as they're getting your money.
