Positive Negative Neutral Advice
This school is certainly at the same levelBrightEngineering Department
This school is certainly at the same level as many others, is possibly more damaged by the name of the location, I think not many people are aware that a scientific ground breaking facility is in Alabama. In medical science it is close to the level of the Mayo clinic and other better known identities. It is important to know that when you come here you might get to know a different culture and social behavior than other countries or states within the us but at the end most of us are interested in what we are doing and motivated, thus making adaptation easier. Is a small enough school that you get to feel comfortable with your faculty and classmates, but also large enought as to meet very diverse personalities and groups. Won't get bored here.

Question
Transferred in to UABBrightCommunications
Transferred in to UAB after changing majors and moving from UAH. I love the campus, the bustle of the city, and how friendly everyone on campus was. Though if you don't like hearing cars and ambulances all the time, you may not like it.

Question
UAB sucks unless you want to go toQuite BrightCommunications
UAB sucks unless you want to go to medical school. They milk you for every penny you have, and still screw you over. The "advisors" constantly screw up your schedule, if they indeed make time to "meet" up with you. There have been several muggings on campus & one murder right across the street from the business building. Some of my professors are very amazing and actually no what they are teaching....some though, don't even speak english and argue with you about them being right on subjects when you can factually prove them wrong....and they are sexist. I have had 2-3 reallllly good teachers, but thats it. I transferred from another school and they refused to take over 1/2 of my credits, and lost the 1/2 that I had left.....they discount other schools education due to the fact that those classes were not taken at a Alabama school---stupid classes like Public Speaking....so I guess you have to take redneck public speaking 101 to qualify for that transfer.....overall UAB sucks unless you want to work in the medical field.....don't go here unless you have no other options....
