Beloit was a great experience & a lot of fun for me at the time. I certainly did not achieve academic brilliance at the time. I spent too much time socializing. I found that I was somewhat academically un-prepared for grad school. Eventually I completely switched fields, getting second BS from a state university and continuing on from there. I am now happily gainfully employed, my Beloit education contributed very little to my career in terms of my resume or any working knowledge. My post grad work is really the most important foundation for my current career. I think Beloit is a good starting ground, you can play for 4 years & sample many different courses and majors, then go on to grad school to polish out your education. If you are ready to get into your career & really know what you want, i'd suggest going to the university with the absolute best reputation for your the field & faculty doing the current research. Start talking to the faculty and get a project/job/internship in their lab right away.
