I started here back in 2012, and had a very positive outlook on what my college education would create for my future. However, over the past years, it has become more negative and negative. I'm nearly graduated, learning or retaining nearly nothing useful for the real world. My department has several professors that have no care for their students and it's all about a number count for us. Emails are disregarded, ignored, or neglected. Even with current experience in a job, it is not considered applicable to college credit because I haven't completed one of their courses which has no relevance to the field I am going for or currently in. The CIS department is ranked highly in the nation according to different websites, however the way the department is managed and handled is a joke. I would never recommend this program to anyone that actually wants to learn about their major, but rather to anyone who already knows what they're doing and are just in need of that sheet of paper. Which at this point, is all I'm going for.
