Yea this college sucks, that really the only way to sum things up. First off let me start off my saying at first glance things may seem nice and the people may seem friendly but it's a pretty much a big scam. True the class sizes are small but that doesn't mean your going to get a good education, most professors at this college when you go to them for help they just push you off onto a lab, where there is a student who usually doesn't know shit from their ass. Most of the professors are just plain lazy,and are there just there for a pay check,most of their lessons plans I could tell they just downloaded off the Internet. Don't be fooled by the small classes they aren't all they are cracked up to be. The education I received at Loras College didn't prepare at all for the real world and after college I had to pretty much reeducate myself, because all what I learned was pretty much fluff. The social scene on Loras is pretty much equalivent to that of a high school. Sure people will smile to your face and wave at you, but usually almost everyone is going around each other's back gossiping about everyone else. And like in high school everyone forms their little clicks,it's pretty pathetic. I only met a few actual real genuine people when I attended. During the weekends there really isn't much to do, the college provides pretty much next to nothing for the students for to do (well considering pretty much 3/4th student body goes home on the weekends I can't say I blame the them) And the stuff they do plan is usually fucking stupid anyways. When there is the occasional house party they usually just get busted by the cops anyways. This college is over priced and definitely not worth it. People say it's a hard college to get into. .but it really isn't, if a person can find some way to float they will let then in and because of that I would say 70% of the student body really has no business being there (yes I am included in that) A lot of people who attend Loras either drop out, flunk our, transfer out, or get kicked out. Don't believe the statistics, one is far better off not even going to college then this over priced high school that hands out shit degress.
