Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
Okay.. the school has really good and really bad points. Ill start with good. The people around campus are friendly and will always say hey, hi, whats up. When you walk around dorms its the same thing but thats about as far as it gets. I think its because its such a small campus faces are familiar and you just say hi to strangers, but very friendly. When youre IN the campus area you feel really safe I never worry about anything happening on campus. Professors are really easy to talk to and they get to know you really fast. Classwork was UNBELIEVABLY easy for me. When everyone is complaining about work I probably have one or two hw assignments per week that take about 15 mins to do. Maybe its because im a psych major and a freshman but i dont know.. all my classes are pretty much looking at powerpoint presentations then we leave. If you dont do work study you will have a lot of freetime. Classes are only 90 mins long so its fast. Lots of places to get food and i go to the gym a lot and theres a lot of places to work out and activities to keep busy. Now as for the BAD side... Once you leave campus its just not the same. You have to be careful because there were a few shootings and people getting jumped for wallets or shot soooo as for me I dont like going ANYWHERE alone. You really cant even go down the street to rite aid by yourself. And its really inconvienient to partner up all the time because no one wants to go with you. Theres not much to do off campus. I thought I would be in center city every week but the chances of that happening are so slim.. unless you have a car. But its so inconvinient to take the subways and its like an all day thing. Clubs are kind of exclusive so if you dont sign up in the beginning of the semester you will probably never hear from them again and its kind of had to get the opportunity unless you know someone in it to get you in. Its very cliquey, people who are from nj stick together and instantly clique then you have people who live close by and then theres me who's from ct... not many people are from ct. Then my roommate wasnt really ever close to me because she cliqued with the other people from her area on our dorm floor. Really awkward. Not a good school for out of state people. A lot of the time people tell me I should go back or ask me "why did u even GO here??". Its also SOOO hard to get a job off campus because nothings really close and if you do youll probably be working night shift. So there it is the good and the bad.
