Let me just start off by saying coming to this university has been one of the biggest mistakes of my life. The academics here are close to the level of an ivy league university, the workload is rigorous, and you will get plenty of busy work because the professors don't feel like teaching. The course work is so hard and complicated for la salle not to even be and ivy league school if I wanted to work my ass off and have no social life because I have so much work to do I would have went to Stanford or Harvard! They have no staff so count on getting the same professor for a few of your classes and being in the same class rooms every year. The cost of this school is ridiculous you pay about $55,000 a year to have the same professors for most of your classes and be in the same classrooms. I didn't even have the same professor twice or had to be in the same classroom twice even in high school! This school feels like high school and a small one at that. Most of the dorms are dirty and rat infested, the pipes leak, and sometimes there's no hot waters so if you like to take showers often tuff luck. I moved off campus after my first semester because I just couldn't deal with the mice and roaches I hate bugs and rodents! There is nothing to eat around campus so good luck trying to eat off campus if your tired of the caf? food. The only thing other than the 3 eating places on campus, which are all horrible except the union sometimes,is the explorers den which is a pizza shop that has really good food other than that there is nothing in the surrounding area but a rite aid, dunkin donuts, and fresh grocer. In addition to there being nothing to do in the surrounding area on campus there is never anything to do on campus either, everyone goes home on the weekdends so on Friday afternoons around 3 count on the campus being dead and looking like a ghost town. Don't count on making any friends either if you're no a stuck up private school kid or catholic school kid. You wont get into any of the parties if you don't know anyone in a frat or sorority. This school is like high school for sure the student are dry and lifeless and stay to themselves in their own world for the most part there is not much social interaction on campus. For the amount of money this university chargers they sure don't give you much for your money. La Salle is a huge rip off. If you want a real college experience and a campus where students actually like the school and take pride in the school go to one of the state universities in Pennsylvania I promise you you will get a lot more for your money.Im transferring to a larger cheaper Pennsylvania state school that as more to offer and actually has students that want to have a college experience rather than the dry student at lasalle that just want to stay to themselves and hurry up and graduate and not have any fun at all. the school population is so small that I wouldn't doubt everyone that wrote the positive reviews are in frats or sororities and are rich private school kids. Please consider what you're getting yourself into if you come to this school.
