So, you are thinking about UNCW? At first, you might feel yourself sucked in by the beautiful weather, the well-kept campus, or even the laid back atmosphere (that is to say, that the students aren't totally self-absorbed and competitive like at UNC-Chapel Hill or Duke), BUT in the end, you will find that your education holds very little value. If you attend UNCW, it is very likely that you will enjoy your college years, especially, if you are a pretty typical, middle class, student. If you are male, be advised that there is an abundance of beautiful, beach blonds. You might even find a few good professors. Then, in your senior year, you will realize if you are someone's favorite or if you will soon be forgotten. Even if you are a top student, you will find that your professors and potential employers doubt your education. It's good enough were you might get an interview but in the end you will not get a job; UNCW has no network. Also, the student body has no concern about whats going on in the world. There are good students, but no edgy, gogetters at UNCW. The education at UNCW does not challenge you to grow as a person. You will wish you could graduate and stay in Wilmington at the beach but realize you have no job and very little work ethic and must go home to mommy and daddy.
