I believed Ohio State University would be the best in-state university. This review is for people who actually want to go to school to LEARN. If you want to learn, don't come here. As for social life, it's not even fun either. Walk down High Street at 2pm on a Saturday and NOTHING will be opened. Good luck making friends if you don't know a foreign language, since everyone is international. They force you to have a meal plan for the awful greasy food, and it's easy to get sick after almost every single meal. There are always gnats in all of the food places, and finding hair and pieces of plastic in food will start to become common events. These people are...the worst. I've never met such idiotic assholes in my life. I didn't know they existed, I thought it was just a myth until now. Everyone is an alcoholic, and no one can comprehend the simplest of concepts. Prepare for your daily classes by getting ready to hear the stupidest questions asked throughout the whole lecture. The staff will work hard to avoid you and tell you everything is fine even when you come to them for help. If you say you're uncomfortable with your roommate since he's drunk all the time and threatens to kill your friends, they'll say it's normal to feel some tension with your roommate from time to time. I've gone through 2 roommates and both were insane. (By the way, don't go for International House in Morrison.) They take all the socially awkward international students and stick them on one floor, paired up with US students, hoping to "stabilize" them. Crime is everywhere, and I can feel the pollutants in my lungs as I walk to class. The classes are alright, if anything, too easy, but with so much busy work that teaches you nothing. The teachers range anywhere from friendly/good to the worst teachers you'll ever have, so good luck.
