I will not say anything bad about the academics at Colby; the professors are generally good, and the work is generally challenging. However, the social life at Colby is completely dead. There is absolutely nothing to do except get blackout drunk or high. Drug dealers are blatantly ignored by campus security, even when brought to their attention. As a student, you will quickly find that everyone is either a constant boozer and pothead, to the point of being an alcoholic, or are sociopaths, and do not know how to interact in social situations at all. Also, there is nothing to do in Waterville; it is a very small town with no life in it whatsoever, with the exception of stereotypical rednecks.
