Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
I transferred here my sophmore year with neutral expectations. I knew it had a reputation for being a party school and the admission standards were ridiculously low. I had first seriously considered UT (and I definitely had to requirements to get in) but when I started crunching numbers, the cost of attendance for in state was obscene. It's an undergraduate degree and I didn't feel like emptying my parent's bank account. UT also was extremely competitive in the various opportunities, such as internships, and their grade inflation policies were very strange. (A for them is 97 or above in a class). So I chose Tech. My family went there, I have friends there, and the scholarship money I was awarded pretty much made my decision for me. I'm about to start my junior year and I'd say that I have made the right choice about coming to Tech. Few Facts- there are a LOT of stupid people here. focused students will gets ticked off being around it. but once you get out of your basic classes and as long as you aren't a fashion or education major, you will meet some pretty cool people!
