Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
If you are black then fine. Come to this school. You will be given a job, an education and you will be helped by the administration (because they too are also black). Please let me tell you, I am not a rasist. Far from it infact but the truth is as a "white kid" there are times when you just wanna black up and see if it'll help. Heres the deal as concise as possible: Admissions: A group of completely idiotic, incompetent, lazy, incoherent slobs. Admin: No one knows anything about anything. You ask the finance people about financial things and they tell you to go see the people down the hall who work in admissions. You ask the library staff where a book is and they direct you to the coffee shop because they are useless. I'm telling you, a normal school will take 5 days (give or take) to process paperwork, GSU takes 4 weeks. (I'm not joking) Parking: Is abysmal. If Turner Field is out of use, you may as well turn round and drive home. Student accomodation: Overpriced tat who wont let you live a little. Just because they placed me with kids who were 17 and 18, my 21 year old friends and I had to squeeze into my tiny bedroom to have a few beers. Also, room size is a complete joke. You want to be in building D or C because they have HUGE rooms in comparison to A+B. The commons felt like a jail to me. I would have panic attacks about walking through the foyer because of all the hood rats who would stomp around yelling and screaming for no reason. Teaching: I have had 8 teachers who cant speak english. Ive had 6 teachers who were graduate students. I'm sorry but last I checked my father didn't work his ass off to send me to school where it costs $14,000 a semester for graduate students to teach me. and over and above everything else, I moved here, 6000 miles from my family, friends, life etc only to find out 2 years into my course that my major was cancelled. BLESSING IN DISGUISE BECAUSE FINALLY I HAVE A REASON AND GUTS TO GET OUT OF THIS PLACE. ADVICE: DO NOT COME HERE!!! DONT LISTEN TO THE POSITIVE REVIEWS, They were probably GSU employees or people who didn't have to pay a penny to come. If you wanna comment or talk to me about this, please feel free. I wont bs you.
