I have read a lot of comments about the faculty, campus, and school in general that I do not agree with. I have read claims that no one attends UNO unless they were not accepted anywhere else. I am a grad student at UNO, but I was accepted at every institution to which I applied, including Auburn University and the University of North Dakota--both of which are very good schools. The reasons that I chose to attend UNO are that the campus is awesome, with a great gym, beautiful grounds, great library, and tons of restaurants and things that they don't have on any other campus; great faculty with impressive research and practice credentials; and wonderful programs. In addition, I have to say that if anyone can't find extracurricular activities or social events to attend, they are just not looking. Everywhere I have looked, I have seen something going on. It is an excellent school, but you will only get out of it what you are willing to put in.
