I know that some of my ratings conflict with each other. This is because, although I attend St. Leo, I attend a Virginia campus - not the main Florida campus. Now. I have had almost nothing but positive, wonderful experiences with the staff and students in VA. However, the administration and the financial aid dept. down in FL seem to be inept, discourteous, and highly unprofessional. My financial aid award has been screwed up EVERY term for the past four terms now, for some reason - may be new, bad management in FL, who knows...but that's one of the reasons why I will not seek my master's through St. Leo. Additionally when you call the financial aid dept. (long distance), they are rude and unhelpful and are only interested in placating you with nonsense to get you off the phone. I am by no means the only student who has had these experiences, either. Also, the program I'm in (social work) is relatively new to the Virginia campuses, and has been poorly "guided" and "directed" by the social work staff in FL. I do not recommend VA students take the social work program here - you're better off at Norfolk State if you're local. If I had to do it over again, that's what I would have done. That aside, if you are in any other program at a Virginia campus, you'll like it. The instructors are down-to-earth, knowledgeable and just plain awesome. They will go out of their way to help you out - very flexible.
