I would say that Pharmacy school prepared me very well, but working in chain Phamacy (RiteAid), you will never use the $180,000 education you struggled for. You are an automated, non-thinking, machine only hired to produce by the numbers. The company comes down on you daily to work faster, do more, with less staff. The phone interruptions are ridiculous. The chances for error are immense. The company looks at profits and the Board of Pharmacy ignores patient safety. I wouldn't recommend this environment for any pay scale ! If you are a new graduate, don't look to chain Pharmacy. It's demeaning how they have denigrated the profession.
