I am having, so far, a great experience at UMBC. I was initially little reluctant in my final college decision, as I chose UMBC over UMD-CP primarily due to a substantial scholarship. I couldn't be happier now; I know I made the right decision. People always say this, but it's always helpful to reiterate. UMBC is what you make it. You can be as social or as reserved as you'd like and still have a great time. There are plenty of opportunities to go out clubbing/to parties but that's not what the social life at UMBC completely revolves around. I've met some of the most interesting, creative, inspiring people here. Everyone is super friendly, and I just generally feel a sense of acceptance. Make the right choice! Apply to UMBC if you want to receive a great education, meet incredible people, and have a great time. Work hard in high school; getting in isn't too easy
