Beloit College has been academically enjoyable for me. I've really liked most of my classes, and a few of my professors have been absolutely top notch. However, the college is very insular - the surrounding town is a weird combination of boring and creepy/dangerous, with little to do in the way of entertainment. Also, students are extremely clique-ish, so if you haven't made friends by the end of your first semester, you're probably going to have a hard time doing so, and the friends you did make first semester are likely who you're going to be stuck with the rest of your time at Beloit, so choose wisely. I was and have been surprised at how snobbish students here are. There's a lot of self-importance among them. So if you're looking for great academics and don't care too much about social life, or are at least okay with having 1300 people know too much than you'd care for them to about your personal life, Beloit's a good choice for you.
